The Joys of Flying

I sadly sombered down to the proper gate to catch my flight back to Portland for the start of winter term. My day was already off to a rough start on account of a rushed packing session and having to leave my boyfriend and family behind. As i walked up to gate 17 i noticed that flight 150 to Pdx had been delayed. I hurried to the desk attendant and asked how long of delay, to my dismay her reply was, " 3 hours mam." I made my way to the flat uncushioned airport seats to await my trip.
After finally boarding the plane, which was completely packed with no open seats, I finally felt a wave of relief. I layed my head back with relaxing and sleepy thoughts that i would be home soon. All of those were washed away when the fidgety lady next to me hurled her guts out during take off. If any of you aren't familiar with flying take off is when you aren't' allowed to get up and you have to remained buckled. Her smelly disgusting puke was all over the seats. Luckily it did not get on me or else i would of lost it.
The third mishap of my flying process was another form of a delay. After the plane had landed, everyone was stuck on board. We were not allowed to exit the plane because of a luggage problem of some sort. I sat on the hot plane for another forty-five minutes later than planned. The baggage claim was a whole other story of taking forever.
Needless to say I made it back to Portland safe and sound with all of my belongings in tact. Which is what is most important. =] Now just the start of a new term......
